Wycinaka Steampunk

Hello fellow crafters and especially steampunk lovers.

I was so excited when I saw 7 Kids was carrying steampunk chipboard pieces from Wycinaka; I just had to have them all!  I have a number of sizes of cigar boxes and thought one of them would be perfect for a steampunk project.  I have a lot of papers with a steampunk theme and picked one to show off the chipboard.  I thought putting the corners opposite each other would add more interest; colored them with chalk spray from my stash.

Here is the inside of the box showing the chipboard on each side and one in the top left corner.  I added just a few mental embellishments and wood balloon as it just isn't steampunk without some metal.

This is the inside of the lid; I loved this chipboard piece and didn't want to add to much to distract from it.

On the outside edges of the box, I used the same pieces as on the sides of the inside but used a chalk spray close to the color of the paper.

This shows front edge of box.

Visit 7 Kids College Fund and see all the wonderful chipboard from Wycinanka and all the other wonderful items you can get for your crafting.  Have fun crafting.  Sandy

Let's Talk about how else these lovelies can be used as well!  What about book marks?   What about your daily planner?  Could you use a stunning butterfly stamp to perfectly accentuate a card?  What about your calendar or your address book or your locker, where you look to be inspired between classes?

Are you the leader of your daughter's girl scout troup do you have a tween with 10 friends and a birthday party coming soon?

Are you inspired by the scriptures read during your church service?  Do you feel that you sometimes leave one of the books of the Lord what it is that you were supposed to be spiritually inspired by?  Grab your pens!  Grab your favorite coloring medium and within the word of God, express your emotions!  Feel the Faith, Love, Grace and Glory in that book!

If you too love the projects I'm sharing, keep an eye out and get your stamps to do some of your own artistically related work with the gospel.

The  background was made by using Prima Color Bloom Spray (Boysenberry)
I think I'm addicted to this stuff!!! it's so much fun to use and I love the shimmer and the metallic effect it gives to the paper.

The fun chipboard heart arrow is from  Wycinanka

Valentine Sock Cupcake using Docrafts Gorjuss Collector

Happy Monday everyone! It's Rosie here today to share details on the sock cupcake I made for the current ANYTHING GOES challenge on the 7 Kids College Fund Challenge Blog! To enter our current challenge just click on the link on the right side bar to take you to the challenge post. Remember, you can play along using any stamp in your stash!

Since Valentine's Day is coming up, I decided to make a sock cupcake as a teacher gift. I used a stamp from one of my favorite stamp companies called Docrafts Gorjuss Collector Mini Stamp. I stamped her on Cryogen White Cardstock with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and colored her with Copics. I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Heart Lawn Cut to make the "be mine" tag. To make the "cupcake", you just roll the sock up from the toe, put a rubber band around the bottom, and then fluff up the side edges. You can add a red pom-pom to the top for a cherry also if you want.

Supplies from 7 Kids College Fund Store:

Here it is all wrapped up. I found the little cup holder, heart pick, foam heart stickers, and cellophane baggie in the Valentine section of Walmart.
Now don't forget to play along with us so you can win a $20 Gift Certificate to the store.

Have a great rest of the week my friends!

Because Today's Your Day!

Just Because I love sharing with you all these adorable little Gorjuss mini girls!  Tammy Louise here today with you all on the 7 Kids College Fund blog.  The weather outside is still chilli but when I sit down and create a project with these mini stamps, I can't resist using warm and springy colors.  They bring the spring out in me!

Her name is "Lost Heart".  I'm sure by the way she's hugging her little bear, the likely reason for the name is because she holds him so close to her heart!  These little lovelies are so easy and fun to color up!  Their hair has loads of movement and while there is less skin tone showing, the striped socks and curled in toes make up for it! Find your favorite in the store today and color one up yourself!  I'm sure you'll love her afterwards!

She's colored with Copics and I created with a few other products you can find in the store such as the chipboard steampunk design with gears from Wycinanka, the Majestic Frame Die from the LDRS Creative spot in the store and Ranger Distress Ink and Copics too!

We've just begun another challenge with the Love theme, so be sure to join in on the fun and a chance to win $20.00 of product from the store!!  See you there!
Hugs,
